Organic Recruiting was founded in 2008 by Michael Allen Howard after he successfully placed many financial, accounting, sales, HR & Marketing executives with large (as well as small and medium sized) corporations such as Freddie Mac, GE and Dole throughout the US in 2006 and 2007. During his tenure with a top 5 recruiting firm, Michael was one of the top recruiters in the country and won several awards acknowledging his recruiting success.
Michael earned an MS in Industrial / Organizational Psychology in 1989 and wrote his master's thesis on the effects of Realistic Job Previews (carefully explaining both the good and bad points of a job to a candidate) on Job Satisfaction and Turnover. He worked for several years as Employment Specialist for Norwegian American Hospital in Chicago where he recruited nursing and admin staff. He was then hired as Director of Human Resources with NorthPointe Achievement Center where he recruited staff and management level employees to work with people who have mental and/or physical disabilities.
Michael has been involved with and supports various environmental organizations including Greenpeace and EarthSave and Organic Recruiting is a Business Member of Coop America, a national network of green and socially responsible businesses.
Michael founded Organic Recruiting as a natural expression of his desire to make a difference combined with a passion for natural and organic products.
At Organic Recruiting, we believe in getting to know our clients and our candidates personally and "organically" developing long term relationships. We support organizations and individuals that care about our environment and are socially responsible.
